 At Spruce Meadows - 2 options:

 

AAC Onsite

  • Can I tent ?- Spruce Meadows does not allow overnight tenting (i.e. no tenting on their grounds
  • What time is RV check in? -   Check in for RV Camping starts at 2 PM Thursday August 5th.    Gates will be closed daily at 10 PM reopening at 7AM Friday morning.
  • How long can I stay?  - We have made special consideration for those wanting to leave Monday  - everyone must be off the grounds by 10AM
  • RV parking rules

1.      All rigs must have boards under all of their tires and generators – NO EXCEPTIONS! There is a Home Depot close by so if you need to, make the stop before you get to Spruce Meadows. (Shawnessy Centre, 390 Shawville Blvd. S.E., Calgary, AB T2Y 3S4, (403) 201-5611).

2.      Be prepared to bring leveling materials for your rig

3.      There will be absolutely NO dumping of grey water or sewage on Spruce Meadows grounds

4.      Generators  Use  - 

o        Generators may be used but please be aware of your neighbors--your exhaust should not be directly into someone’s  X-Pens or door. 

o        Generators cannot be directly on the ground  - please have them on a board or off the ground  (Fire safety requirements)

o        Quiet time – Use of generators must be restricted from 6AM to 10PM  (cannot run your generator all night)

 

  • How far is the RV parking to the rings ?  -   Depending on where you are located a short 5 min walk.
  • Sani-Station  - there is a sani-station near the Spruce Meadows RV camping  - disposal only
  • Washrooms/Showers  -  There are no extra washrooms and showers for this site  -  it is dry camping and the reason only self-contained units can park. 

 

On-site RV  PARKING is a privilege extended to us  by Spruce Meadows. Any person or persons who feel that they cannot abide by the Rules should consider other accommodations.  Abusive language, arguing with parking attendants,  volunteers or Spruce Meadows staff, or any attempts to circumvent the Rules will result in loss of parking privileges without refund.

Reminder -  Reserved Paid Sites are first come,  first parked, if you wish to camp beside friends please organize your arrival time together.  The site is an open field no amenities so you must be self-contained , No tents or shade tents are permited.

Spruce Meadows  - hook ups  

Flat fee for weekly rental  of  $400.00+ taxes.

Tuesday to Tuesday (no day to day sites available at this location).

  Arrangements are soley with Spruce Meadows and independent of  AAC Nationals organizing committee.

  • Calgary Area Campgrounds:

There are several campgrounds south of Calgary city limits.  It is recommended that each camper use the resources available to them to locate one suitable to their needs.
